Supported by national funding (D.D. prot. 634/Ric, 14/10/2011), the project, lasting 36 months, is focused on investigating novel wing structural design for a regional jet with a bottom-up approach, starting from the material properties, small components and substructures up to the full-scale airplane. The static strength and fatigue analysis as well as the environmental impact of these new solutions will be performed. Tecnosistem will be in charge of developing the aircraft configuration and the layout of the full-scale airplane.
Tecnosistem is also involved in training activities focused on wing design using innovative composite materials (the training activities will last 24 months). One scholarship is to be awarded to a graduate with an engineering degree
